The chairman and the committee have been working hard off the pitch to prepare the football club for the step up to the Oxfordshire Senior League. The club nicknamed the ‘Revolution’ who have until now plied their trade in the Banbury District & Lord Jersey League have ambitious plans to grow over the coming years according to chairman James Kite “this is the first step in our progression and we will be looking to establish ourselves in the Senior League next season and then build on this” Kite went on to add “not just on the pitch, we are working hard off the pitch to upgrade our facilities, we have been working with local businesses on sponsorship and advertising partnerships to increase the clubs revenue. This has allowed us to invest in new match goals and we are planning further investments to ensure we have the best facilities in the area.” The club are still keen to add more partnerships for the 2015/16 season “we have added some great sponsorship & advertising packages which have proved a success” details of these can be found on the official club website.
Cropredy will start in Division one (Step 8), the clubs Reserve side who have also moved into the Senior League will be in Division two. Should the club gain promotion to the Premier Division in the future they will move up to Step 7 of the Non league pyramid.
The club has also added a Youth team who will compete in the Oxfordshire Invitational League “the youth element is a very important addition” added Kite “if the club is to reach its goals we must have the next generation coming through.”
The inaugural season in the Oxfordshire Senior League kicks off on the 5th September with the first team facing Oxford Irish.
